Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will host  Flood Map Information Open Houses for the Lake Erie Shoreline. The Open Houses will provide  County residents an opportunity to review a recently completed preliminary Flood Insurance Study and its accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Map.

The Open Houses will be staffed by local, state, and federal agencies who will provide the most current information flood risk, flood insurance, floodplain development regulations and the process for floodplain mapping within your County. Once the maps become effective, they will be used as the basis for flood insurance as well as local flood protection regulations.
